Can Pagers Be Tracked?

It seems like everyone is concerned about privacy these days and rightfully so.  You have a conversation about a movie you saw and the next thing you see are articles about that movie when you are on the internet.  Or you do a google search for a computer monitor and all of a sudden every where you go on the internet are ads for computer monitors.  Who else is tracking your every move?
