Text Notification Alternative

If you have a phone system that sends text notifications to your phone when a caller leaves a voicemail or you have other applications that send texts via email, you may have found this function no longer works.

On June 17, 2025 AT&T stopped offering their email to text service and T-Mobile followed shortly after.  Verizon still offer this service although some customers have found the service is unreliable at times.

Building management / automation systems are an example of when an alert for a HVAC system issue or a security alarm comes in, it sends an email alert to a cellphone that converts to a text message. The problem is the cellular carriers are not supporting the email to sms text feature.  This is where PagersDirect can offer a pager app solution.
